HAPPY "GOTCHA DAY" BABY BOY!!!!

One year ago today we picked up Landon from the hospital in Tainan! When we entered our hotel room and made our first phone call we were told that he was in the hospital very ill and our worlds turned upside down. With all the hard work from the SLC staff, FFC staff and family at home making calls, it all worked out so that he did get better and though our AIT appointment was late we did get one and though we picked him up a day later than expected and picked up his visa a day later than planned we were still able to fly home on schedule! It was an amazing journey. Landon went to Greg on our second meeting that evening. It was the sweetest thing to see him hold our son for the very fist time. It took a couple days for him to go to me but as he decided to let me meet his needs, I got to steel a kiss here and there! He adjusted so well so fast, speaking english words in a matter of days and making new hand signs for everything. He was scared of the ground, the carseat, the birds, and loud noises. Now he will kick his shoes off and run through the grass and recently lets the sand on his feet! He doesnt cry neerly as much in the car seat and has been on many LONG trips. He has an astonishing vocabulary for his age and is such a happy little boy. What a difference a year can make. We are so very blessed to have him in our lives and have him as our son. A huge thank you all those involved in bringing him home. Happy Gotcha Day Landon Gregory Fang Hughes!

Wow, it is so hard to believe he has been home a full year! What a difference a year makes, right?
